Parvati Shallow is a contestant from Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains.

Renowned for her creation of one of the most successful and infamous alliances in the series' history that won her the game in Micronesia, Parvati entered the game with one of the biggest targets. As a member of the Villains tribe, Parvati was immediately relegated in the minority by Rob Mariano's alliance, but after aligning herself with fellow outsiders Russell Hantz and Danielle DiLorenzo, she was able to survive multiple votes. In the waning days of the pre-merge portion of the game, the Heroes tribe surmised that Parvati ran yet another all-women's alliance, prompting them to give them their Hidden Immunity Idol to Russell. After the merge, the Heroes, despite the warnings of Sandra Diaz-Twine, the last surviving member of Rob's alliance, fell trap to Parvati, playing their idol and her own against them. The Heroes' discovery of Parvati and Russell's equal control of the Villains came too late, and were systematically eliminated. Parvati and Russell both made it to the Final Tribal Council along with Sandra where, despite being lauded for her brilliant strategic game and challenge performances, she was chastised by the Heroes for her failure to renege on her alliance to Russell. She ultimately finished second, when the Heroes and Courtney Yates voted to crown the more heroic, Sandra, as the second two-time Sole Survivor in a 6-3-0 vote.

Parvati Shallow/Heroes vs. Villains (1)

Parvati's formation of the infamous Black Widow Brigade that won her Survivor: Micronesia assigned her to the Villains tribe, much to her initial disdain. She quickly found herself in the minority, being considered a threat by several tribe members for her cutthroat game in Micronesia and having connections with Candice Woodco*ck, James Clement, Cirie Fields, and Amanda Kimmel, all of whom were Heroes. With nobody approaching her Parvati quickly accepted an alliance with Russell Hantz and Danielle DiLorenzo despite questioning Russell's controlling tendencies. The Villains enjoyed a lengthy winning streak, thus postponing any plots against Parvati. Following the Villains' first Immunity Challenge loss on Day 8, Parvati's name was brought up, but she was spared on the account of her better performance in challenges, eliminating the weaker Randy Bailey instead. Around this time, Parvati gained an enemy in Jerri Manthey, who was also seen as a divisive and manipulative figure in her own previous outings.

In the following days, the Villains then continued their challenge dominance by winning four consecutive challenges. During this winning streak, a clue to a Hidden Immunity Idol was discovered, in which members of the majority alliance led by Rob Mariano decided not to find. Wanting to usurp control of the tribe from Rob, Parvati's ally Russell attempted to look for it anyway, further affirming their seemingly impending elimination by Rob's alliance of Coach Wade, Courtney Yates, Jerri, Sandra Diaz-Twine and Tyson Apostol. On Day 15, both tribes were forced to go to Tribal Council, but before competing in separate individual Immunity Challenges. With both Parvati and Russell losing the challenge, Rob's alliance decided to split their six votes between Parvati and Russell, with Rob, Sandra, and Tyson voting for Russell, and Jerri, Coach, and Courtney voting for Parvati. Upon knowing Rob's plan, Russell tricked Tyson into switching his vote to Parvati, under the notion that he would rather betray her for his own survival. At Tribal Council, Tyson fell for Russell's plan for voting for Parvati, and with Russell playing his idol on Parvati, Tyson was sent home in a 3-2-0 blindside.

Following Tyson's elimination, Parvati earned Jerri's respect, and after some prodding from her, Russell and Danielle, Jerri decided to switch sides and vote out Russell's arch-rival, Rob. With Parvati and Russell now in control of the Villains and the tribe yet to vote out a female member, the Heroes assumed that Parvati was leading an all-women alliance, with Russell, the last male on the Villains, being the next target. Rob's ouster sent the Villains in a downward spiral, losing yet another Immunity Challenge where they decided to vote Coach out to further give the Heroes the illusion of the Villains being controlled by the women.

On Day 22, the Villains won a Reward Challenge where they got to go to Outback Steakhouse. There, Parvati found a clue to the re-hidden idol and showed it to Danielle to get her to trust her more than Russell. Parvati and Danielle both found the idol together the next day and agreed to not to tell Russell, to playfully keep him out of the loop for a while. The Villains continued their losing streak at the next Immunity Challenge, but one member of the Heroes tribe, J.T. Thomas, unprecedentedly gave his own Hidden Immunity Idol to Russell in hopes that he would use it to vote out Parvati. Russell, however, showed it to Parvati, Danielle and Jerri, much to their disbelief. They then discussed whether to get rid of Sandra or Courtney, the only remaining members of Rob's alliance. Though Parvati trusted Courtney more than Sandra, the alliance went to vote out Courtney.

On Day 25, the Heroes and Villains merged into the Yin Yang tribe and migrated to the Heroes camp for the rest of the game. With the Heroes confused to see Parvati still in the game, Parvati and Russell made up a story that they both played their idols, negating all votes and that in the re-vote they voted out Courtney. The Heroes quickly alienated Parvati, who was deemed the biggest threat among the Villains. At the Day 27 Immunity Challenge, Parvati and Danielle were the last two standing, but Parvati decided to give it to Danielle because Parvati already had an idol. Before Tribal Council, Russell gave Parvati J.T.'s idol to protect Parvati, unaware that Parvati already owned one. In an attempt to rekindle their Micronesia alliance, Parvati went to Amanda to see if she could trust her. Amanda coldly told Parvati the Heroes will stick together and play the idol for herself. Parvati questioned Amanda's body language and facial expression, believing the Heroes had another target in mind. At Tribal Council, in a novel move, Parvati revealed she was in possession of both idols, playing the Heroes' idol to Sandra and the Villains' to Jerri, the latter of whom being the Heroes' true target. With the Jerri's votes voided, the Villains' votes for J.T. remained valid, voting him out.

While impressed by Parvati's move, Russell was also furious for being kept in the dark about having her own idol, beginning a rift between the two. Despite Sandra's willingness to turn on her former tribemates, Russell was able to flip Candice. With the numbers still on the Villains' side, Amanda was next to go. After Parvati won the next Immunity Challenge on Day 31, both Heroes and Villains, including Parvati, voted Candice out for playing both sides. After winning the Day 33 Immunity Challenge, Russell decided to pit Parvati and Danielle against each other, which failed, causing yet another argument between Parvati and Russell. To get his way, Russell solicited the help of Jerri and the remaining Heroes, Colby and Rupert, to vote out Danielle, 4-3.

On Day 31, Jerri and her sister won the family reward and chose to bring Parvati, Sandra, and their respective loved ones with them. Back at camp, Russell once again plotted with Colby and Rupert to target Parvati. However, his plan was foiled when she won the next two Immunity Challenges. The Villains alliance ultimately held and wiped out the remaining Heroes in short order. Losing the Final Immunity Challenge to Russell, Parvati argued to Russell that Sandra was the bigger threat to win compared to Jerri, but Russell dismissed this, believing Sandra's seemingly ineffective strategies and poor challenge performances will not earn the Jury's respect. Jerri also pled to Russell that Parvati should be voted out because she played an effective game after being targeted multiple times. That night, Parvati, Russell and Sandra voted Jerri out, citing her under-the-radar game could have possibly won her the game. In the morning of Day 39, Parvati witnessed Sandra burning Russell's hat in retaliation for his callousness, poor social game, and disgusting odor. Neither told him of the hat burning.

At the Final Tribal Council, Parvati admitted she entered the game not knowing the threat she had become to the other castaways and argued that while she willingly aligned with Russell, she did not let him treat her as a blind follower by making her own moves. Parvati received praise from the Jury, but was equally castigated because her strategy required that she align herself with Russell, whose poor treatment of his fellow competitors did not sit well with the Heroes. In the end, Parvati received three votes from Coach, Danielle, and Jerri to Russell receiving none, but lost to Sandra, who earned six votes from the Heroes and Courtney, finishing in second place.
