Had a wonderful breakfast and lunch double dip this past Tuesday after my LAX-JFK 9am arrival.

For breakfast, I went with the Cinnamon-Apple Waffles. Belgian waffles with cinnamon-apple compote and Catskill provision maple syrup.

With warm Maple syrup, this was very good. But wow, my side of Apple Fennel Chicken Sausage was really spicy. Indeed, too spicy for me as I could only take a couple of small bites.

After a shower, I was back to do a little work before lunch.

The new All Day Dining fall menu...

https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/s...IMG_8360_1.jpg

The Crispy Shrimp co*cktail was really good. The sambal co*cktail sauce was fabulous.

For my main, it was down to the healthy halibut or the decadent burger. LOL. Easy choice.

https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/s...IMG_8368_3.jpg

Wow.

https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/s...IMG_8370_2.jpg

Perfectly medium rare and wonderful. And with a glass of the Miner Cab, the was a real treat.

https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/sfo777/IMG_8375.jpg

For dessert, the Pineapple Upside Down Cake was excellent... with roasted pineapple, cherries and brown sugar.

Bravo AA. What a great experience and a wonderful way to spend four hours in between flights. I just love JFK First Dining, where service is consistently better and more polished than LAX.

At the risk of seeming picky, that meat is not "medium rare." It's mostly raw.

Nor would I call that Pineapple Upside Down Cake. That's cake with pineapple compote on top. Pineapple upside down cake is something very different.

That said, I'm sure that it tasted great (as mine did when I had dinner there a couple of months ago).

Is that Talley Chardonnay still stacked up in the back room? How many cases did AA purchase?

Any suggestion on which lounge I should visit? I will be taking lax-jfk-auh in AA and EY F with a 3.5hr connection at jfk, debating should I visit FFD or the EY lounge in JFK. Thanks!

With 3.5 hours, you should have time to do both without a problem.. Just obviously start with the FFD upon landing.

I stopped in about a week ago. Put away 4 solid glasses of Krug. Meant to try more food items but I just had the shrimp appetizer (think shrimp tempura but with co*cktail sauce, kinda eh because the shrimp were small) and the lamb shank. The lamb was good and a huge portion; the polenta was a little too creamy and rich (not necessarily a bad thing? just too much of it and a little plain), the whole dish is easily a day's worth of food. Managed a glass of the always good Bordeaux, a shot of Woodford Rye, and then happily conked out for the duration of JFK-LAX.

Thanks for the updates and the report. Looking forward to my final visit of the year in a few weeks.

Only 4 glasses of Krug? :p :p :p

Arriving inbound around 8:45pm, need to transfer terminals from T4 to T8. I am then flying CX First to HKG. JFK Flagship Dining closes at 10 PM. Does anyone know what time they stop serving food? Do I have to be in by 10PM, or do I have to be done by 10PM? Hoping to swing by if there is still time.

Last time we were there - October last year - took last orders around 10 and we hung around until 11 for drinks.
