Formula 1 and Apple Original Films have announced that their highly anticipated movie about the sport will be distributed in theatres and in IMAX by Warner Bros. Pictures internationally on June 25, 2025, and in North America on June 27, 2025.

Pitt, 60, will play the role of a veteran driver, Sonny Hayes, who is returning to the F1 grid after a long absence. Pitt raced an adapted Formula Two car between practice sessions at the British Grand Prix at the Northamptonshire circuit last July.
