Destiny 2's latest expansion, The Witch Queen, has plenty to offer, both in terms of story and gameplay. Suffice it to say, The Witch Queen is one of the most ambitious Destiny expansions ever, and it lays a promising path for the game's future.

What separates The Witch Queen campaign from past story campaigns is its intricate level design that’s brimming with puzzles and platforming challenges. One such puzzle you come across in The Witch Queen campaign is in the Memories of Ruin quest. Here's how you can solve it.

Memories of Ruin The Witch Queen

The memories of Ruin quest is step 8th of The Witch Queen campaign. You will have to enter the Altar of Reflection, a place where you relive memories of Savathun's past life. To gain access to the doorway that blocks this particular piece of her memory, you must solve The Odd One Challenge.

To begin, you first have to reach the Altar of Reflection, finding which is both confusing and tedious in itself. To make things simple, put a marker on the map for the quest, which will make it a lot easier for you to find the Altar of Reflection.

Once inside, you will notice eight sets of runes standing together. To solve the puzzle, you have to choose the set of runes that stand out among the others. As it seems, every player encounters a different set of ruins in the Memories of Ruin quest, so our solution might or might not be correct in your case.

Basically, every column should have all three variants of the runes. The sets that are missing any of the variants are the ones you have to select. Simply shoot the ones that lack any of the three variants of the runes, and the door should unlock.

In our playthrough, the columns that stood out were (starting from left) the 1st, 5th, and 7th. Once you have shot the right set of runes, the door to the next room will unlock, where you have to clear out the hordes of Lucent Archivist enemies to access Savathun's memory.
